General Jewellery Repairs -
Our highly skilled craftsmen can repair most types jewellery including rings, chains, bracelets, bangles, brooches, cufflinks, body jewellery and earrings. Click the thumbnail to go to our Training section to read about the different processes in more detail.
Engraving
- Our engraving department can offer the main types of engraving including - Hand, Machine, Computer, Seal, Photo, Glass and Handwriting. Click the thumbnail to go to our engraving section for more information.
Valuations -
Bespoke Valuations - we undertake a detailed examination, description and valuation of jewellery sufficient to provide an accurate basis for an insurer to pay out in the event of a loss. This also provides your customers with the information they need to insure the goods for a sufficient value that will compensate them for the loss. A full description of the pieces is provided. All materials are identified and in addition, gemstones are graded for colour and clarity. All weights, dimensions and proportions are noted. A value, relative to the purpose of the Appraisal is recorded. We strive to record as much information as possible about the items. Using digital technology we photograph and supply as many images as are required to give a true and accurate representation of the pieces Any damage or wear is noted with suggestions of remedial action that should be considered. The valuation report and images are supplied in an attractive quality folder for your customers to keep. Basic Valuations - we undertake a detailed examination, description and valuation of jewellery sufficient to provide an accurate basis for an insurer to pay out in the event of loss. This is printed out and sent to yourselves.
Polish and Plate -
We can polish all carats and colours of gold, as well as silver, platinum, titanium and palladium. We can apply various finishes to metals including sandblasting and satin. Consultancy Service -
We provide a consultancy service for manufacturers and retailers. For manufacturers we advise on product designs with regards to practicalities of designs for resilience and any future alterations that may need to be carried out e.g. ring sizing. Having our experts check the designs before manufacture can prevent loss of revenue and good reputation because of impractical design.
For retailers we can advise jewellery buyers before they make purchases as to the practicalities of designs for resilience and any future alterations. We can help train and educate staff with regards to all aspects of jewellery and watch repairs. We can facilitate the setting up of new jewellery and watch repair services or give advice on improving existing services.

Bespoke Design -
Our top craftsmen can work with you to design almost any piece of jewellery. From Wedding Bands to Tiaras using precious metals and set with any gemstones including diamonds. Using the latest computer imagery we can show you detailed images of the design before work begins to ensure the designs are as envisaged. Insurance Claims -
We have a specialist department that works directly with insurance companies, claims managers and retailers. We provide an appraisal service advising if the items are customer damage or wear and tear. We then can carry out all remedial work inclusive of renovations, replacing stones or remaking jewellery.
Refining -
Using our sister company Star Refining we can refine all metals with a fast turn around time giving a full report on what has been recovered. We can also give extra value to the stones in the jewellery if they are economical to remove. Watch Workshop -
Our watch department can service most makes of watches, we can repair, overhaul, or replace movements, fix watch straps, replace batteries and reseal to make waterproof. The department provides a Prestige Watch case and bracelet refurbishment service. We are the UK service base for several leading international brands. Click the thumbnail to read more.
Setting and Stone Supply -
We employ our own on site skilled setters. We set in any style including Pave, Grain, Claw, Channel, Star, Illusion, Rubover and Tension Set. We can supply almost any stone in any shape or shade or get a stone cut so it matches your customers requirements. Estimates -
When items require estimates to determine work needed and the costs, they are separated from the general repairs. The estimates are carried out and then the shops are advised of the conclusions either by hard copy, email or fax . We will advise on any work we deem necessary that will resolve the original problem and offer any other work that may be required that was not necessarily noted when the item was taken in. We will give you a price for each option and an approximation of the time each option will take to complete. We wait to hear from our customers whether or not the work is to be proceeded. This is a free of charge service.
Remounts -
We can remount most styles of rings. Remounting involves changing the head and sometimes the shank of a ring but still using the the original stones. We can source many different styles of settings and usually are a good match to the original. These are available in all types of metals including different carats of gold, white gold and platinum. If a particular style is not available we can hand make to match best possible. This takes a little longer to do and is often more expensive but enables us to re-create any type of ring or setting. We can also make most types of rings/settings from specific drawings. We can provide a free of charge estimate before work is carried out.
Pearl Stringing -
this service is also available for other beads. We use either plain stringing or knotted stringing in either nylon, silk or cotton. We can also repair clasps. Please click the thumbnail to read about pearl stringing in greater detail.
